Build your ADM register

The ADM Register (Governance > ADM Register) helps your privacy officer prepare the automated decision-making section of your privacy policy, required from 10 December 2026. Background and methodology: ADM Register.

Only org admins can open it. The register is on every paid plan; snapshots, exports and draft wording need the Team plan.

1. Read the summary

The counts at the top show agents likely in scope, needing review and likely out of scope, plus unassessed agents and unclassified scopes. A first register always has gaps. The counts make them visible so you can close them.

Pick the activity window (30 to 365 days). If your plan’s audit retention is shorter, the page says so and uses what is available.

2. Assess each agent

Click Assess on a row and answer:

  • What decision does it make or contribute to? Internal only, never published.
  • Kind of decision, in privacy policy words. For example “assessing refund requests”. Agent names, links, email addresses and identifiers are refused, because this text goes into the public draft.
  • Decision role: does not make or assist decisions; substantially and directly assists; or makes decisions solely by automated means. A human approving the outcome does not change this answer.
  • Significant effect and vulnerable people affected: yes, no or unsure.
  • Who is affected, notes, and the next review date (12 months by default).

Every save is recorded with your name and kept in the agent’s version history.

3. Check what each agent can reach

Expand a row to see each platform, its scopes, actions in the window and approvals. Unclassified, needs review chips mean the mapping does not cover that scope yet, usually an MCP server tool. Decide whether that access reaches personal information and record it in the assessment notes.

4. Save a snapshot and share it

On Team and above, Save snapshot freezes the register and draft wording with a SHA-256 fingerprint. From the snapshot list you can:

  • download CSV for spreadsheets or GRC tools,
  • open the Printable report and save it as PDF from your browser,
  • download JSON,
  • Copy link to the snapshot (it opens for your organisation’s admins only).

A snapshot never changes, so the file you cite is the file you can download again later.

5. Use the draft wording

The Draft APP 1.8 privacy policy wording panel groups in-scope agents into 1.8(a) kinds of personal information, 1.8(b) solely automated decisions and 1.8(c) substantially assisted decisions. It describes kinds only, never agent names. Copy it to your privacy or legal adviser: it is a draft, and AgentValet does not provide legal advice.
